Ship It, Then Improve It

MVPs are where we started as a studio, and they are still our favourite type of project. There is something satisfying about taking a rough idea and turning it into a real app that real people download and use within a couple of months.

How We Approach MVPs

The most important conversation happens before we write any code. We sit down with you and figure out what the core thing your app does. Not the ten features you eventually want — the one thing that makes someone download it and try it. Everything else gets pushed to version 2.

Typical MVP Scope

Authentication (email/password or social login). 5-8 core screens. One main user flow that delivers the primary value. Basic analytics so you know what is working. Push notifications for re-engagement. Clean enough design that people take the app seriously but not so polished that you spent three months on it.

Backend Options

For MVPs we usually recommend Firebase or Supabase rather than a custom backend. Faster to set up, cheaper to run at low scale, and you can always migrate later if the app takes off. We are not going to overengineer your MVP with Kubernetes and microservices when you have 200 users.
